What archive were you viewing when this crash happened? Can you attach it? Did you try to preview a directory in it? You are dealing with a newbie. When you ask "what archive were you viewing" I
am not sure what you mean by that. I recently updated to 4.5 KDE within the
OpenSuSE 11.3 repositories. Does that help?

OK, let's go from the beginning :) The bug report was assigned to Ark, KDE's archive viewer, which means this crash was caused when you tried to view a compressed file (such as a .tar.gz or a .zip file). The backtrace also shows you previewed a file inside the archive, and the file for some reason was previewed in Dolphin. Can you try to reproduce that? Yes. I was looking at an ark file from X-Plane by Laminar Research. However
when the bug report showed up the message said it had to load debug symbols
for Akonadi. And because I have been having numerous problems with Kontact
and Akonadi I entered my response based on that.
As to the archive bug I have tried 3 times now and it is not crashing again.

OK, thanks for the information. I'm reassigning this report to Peter Penz, since this crash was in Dolphin's code. He can decide if this has already been fixed, or even close it as it cannot be reproduced easily.
