Description Christian Trippe 2010-12-30 13:21:27 UTC
Version: 1.7.0 (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

On a system using GNOME as the desktop environment, using
Digikam instead of F-spot as the photography application.

When connecting a digital camera, a popup appears that says:

"You have inserted a medium with digital photos. Choose what
  application to launch.

  Select...

  [No applications found]"

Digikam should appear in this dialog.

Suggested solution is:
Add MimeType=x-content/image-dcf;x-content/image-picturecd; to the digikam desktop file.

This was initially reported at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=629393
where also the solution was proposed by a GNOME dev.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-rc6-default
Compiler: gcc
