Copy of error messages.

How did you obtain the program? Did you build it yourself? Did you have a previous version installed? I am asking, because the attachment does not contain really useful information.

Programme was installed from ClayWeber ppa via 
Ubuntu/MintLinux/Synaptic.  Indeed it was updated automatically to 4.5.2.
'gdb' gnome debugger is installed.
The data given was presented by the crash handler programme.
I have previously tried loading from the File drop-down menu without 
trouble.
After update of programme to 4.5.2 I was presented with the Mysql start 
up panel when Kmymoney was restarted.  This is where I met the repeat of 
the original bug.
I am afraid that I have just tried to repeat the crash so that I could 
glean more data and it started like clockwork - but a very slow clock if 
I may say so.

I must apologise for raising a false alarm.

Tell me, if you start using the database facility are the records stored 
in the database and in the normal storage locations or is it, once a 
database  then only a database.

kmymoney (4.5.2) on KDE Platform 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) using Qt 4.7.0

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Another system, MintLinux 10, was auto updated using repositries and Synaptic.
A KmyMoney-dbug report exists.

The system will not be changed but will be switched off this evening.

Your comments please. (I am following instructions hence the doubt about the attachment being enclosed.)

If you store your records in a database, they will not be also stored in a file. The file you used will be in the same state as when you did a "save as database".

I often open my database in KMM and do a "save as..." and give it a filename, in case I need a file backup later. So, you can always get the data back out of the db.

Thank you. Perhaps a small addition to the handbook will be valued.
