Sentry Crash Report:

Description SlashDevDsp 2010-12-24 13:56:15 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

search keeps continuing on empty search after changing selection criteria from 'filename' to 'content'

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. clock the find button
2. say search for pdf: i.e., type pdf in the text entry (keep the search short) with default search options 'filename' and 'From here'
3. now delete the 'pdf' in the text entry box
4. click on "Content" search option which triggers search for 'empty' content.

Should not allow searching for 'empty text' for search options: filename/content/Fromhere/everywhere'

Actual Results:
search continues for empty input as 'content'

I see a variation of this bug, even without changing filename to content:
- Open the filenamesearch kio in Dolphin and search for 'foo'
- Close the search
- Now open it again, and it immediately lists all the files and folders in that directory (imagine that happening in /usr/share or a huge $HOME dir).

This is with Dolphin 2.0.95 compiled from current (as of today) git HEAD.

Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719

I use kubuntu 15.10 with KDE Applications 15.08, dolphin in version 4:15.08.2-0ubuntu1 and search doesn't work at all.
When I press Ctrl+F, no matter what I type it doesn't find anything.

Search was pretty rough prior to 16.x, but it's much better now.
