Description m.wege 2010-12-21 15:55:52 UTC
Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

The crash restauration of akregator restores the (may be nearly) same tabs as the session restauration which leads to many double tabs. Since Akregator crashes at every shutdown (old bug (reported long ago), due to taking to long to save all tabs) I have more and more tabs after every reboot (if I do not close them manually).

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-7-generic-pae
Compiler: cc

I know this bug was file a while ago but I still have the same issue with Akregator 4.13.3. This happens often, I guess when akregator is not closed properly (crashes, hard reboot, etc.). This can create several times the same tab again and again and akregator becomes really heavy.

Here is a screenshot : http://i59.tinypic.com/312d6h4.jpg.

Please ask if I can provide any help (and explain how to provide some debug symbols or things like that).

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

I have not met this issue with version 5+.
