Sentry Crash Report:

Description davidblunkett 2010-12-21 11:26:26 UTC
Version: 0.10.4 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

The search option insists on starting from the beginning, it would be nice if it could start from the current location (or beginning optionally).

I wanted to find a common word on a specific page in a long document. However, having to start at the beginning of the document when searching makes this impractical.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35.4-12-desktop-matt
Compiler: gcc

Please state exactly and step by step what you do and what you would and in which step you would want something different to happen. Your report is too vague.

Say you have a 150 page pdf and want to find the 15th instance of the word "the" on page 99 it would seem likely that you could got to page 99 and search for "the" and find it easily.

Unfortunately the search option insists on starting at page 1 which makes using the search for this problem next to impossible.

That is not "exactly" not "step by step", but i bet you have the "From Current Page" option of the search bar unchecked

My apologies - I had missed the "options pull down button:search from location" which works just fine - thanks
