Open Office document to be open in Kword

SOFTWARE VERSION:
  Kubuntu 9.04
  Koffice (svn version 1076388 )
  Test document (Open Office): oow_ven_diagram.odt

STEPS LEADING TO THE PROBLEM:
  1. Open the attached document in Open Office.
  2. Open the same document in KOffice.
  3. Observe the ven diagram in the document.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
  Kword should be able to display the ven diagram in the document.
  As seen in the attachment oow_ven_diagram-odt .jpeg

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
   Kword is not displaying the vendiagram properly.
   As seen in the attachment oow_ven_diagram-kword.jpeg

The shapes are loaded, but the left one has a gradient and the right one is invisible...

Can still reproduce in master. OO.org does not display that gradient at the left circle.
