Hi there, I am not able to reproduce the problem here on my Kubuntu 11.10 running KDE 4.7.3, with Amarok 2.5. All songs in my library are good with the OSD. However, it would be really helpful if you upgrade to the latest release of Amarok 2.5 and let us know if the problem still persists for you. Thanks, AFAIK this is solved since quite some time. Well I still have the issue with amarok 2.5.0 and kde 4.8 RC. Maybe it comes from my old video card (radeon xpress 200m). The issue is present with or without desktop effects. Thank you for the feedback. Kevin, any ideas? Just an update, i regularly see the same issue on a different archlinux system: KDE4.8, amarok 2.5 and Nvidia drivers. It is not reproducible 2.6-git Ben, can you please test if this was solved in Amarok 2.6? Still here in 2.6.0 with arch linux and kde 4.9.90 Thank you for the feedback. Same issue as the other OSD bug. Since the text and it's shadow have different sizes you could run into the problem that the texts are broken in differen places. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 257643 *** |
Created attachment 54864 [details] Example of a buggy OSD Version: 2.4-GIT (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux For some songs, the OSD doesnt display correctly the text (artist - title (album)). See attached screenshot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: It doesnt happen on all songs, only on some, but it happens everytime on theses songs. It happens with long titles where the OSD has to be resized. My guess is taht there are 2 text being rendered (text + halo/shadow) and only the layout of the text is update when the OSD is resized, not the halo. Actual Results: You can see the text on a single line (in black) and the halo on 2 lines. Expected Results: The halo should display under the text.
