Ok, tried again. This time it only migrated the missing two accounts (as expected). What is strange is that I get a message "starting cache migration of folder foo", then all the messages of that folder are counted down, and later on I get "beginning import of local cache of folder foo" and all messages are counted down again. Also I can't remember seeing the first messages (which are logged for every individual folder) in the first run. That "importing local cache" only gives one line in the log, the folder things are logged for every folder alone. Afterwards Kontact simply doesn't start. I see a kontact process around that does just nothing. When I kill it and start it again I get the migration window which says "everything already migrated", then if I click Finish nothing happens. This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
