Description Gregor Petrin 2010-12-09 09:20:32 UTC
Version: 1.4.80 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

I am trying IDLE (IMAP email push) and it does not seem to be working. If I send a message from one email account (not monitored by kmail) to another, kmail/akonadi will only display this message after it syncs folders. My co-worker uses another mail client with the same server and IDLE works for him.

Akonadi configuration shows no errors and I have tried this many times with the same results. Please suggest anything I can try to help resolve the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Idle imap seems to be working well for me in akonadi 1.5.

Gregor, is this still bugging you?

Unfortunately, my guinea pig laptop has died due to a hardware failure, so until I get it fixed, I cannot test this :(

Is it still happening for you with 4.7.x? I've been unable to reproduce that one, it just works for me. And IDLE rocks btw. ;-)

In case you still experience this please feel free to reopen. In such a case, we would need much more information like the actual IMAP server used and so on.
