I have the similar problem in newest version of KMail 2.1.1. Complete mail with subject is on encoding WIN-CP-1250 and on message body is all ok but on message list is problem with non ascii characters. Screenshot in attachment is better then my bad english words. I confirm this bug in KMail 4.7.3. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 276105 *** I confirm this bug on Kmail2 (KDE 4.8.5, precise 12.04) |
Created attachment 54222 [details] rucenter_message.mbox Version: 2.0.89 OS: Linux I receive messages in koi-8 encoding with Cyrillic letters in Subject. Other email clients (thunderbird, roundcube) and kmail (from KDE 4.4.x) displays this subject normally, but kmail2 displays badly - I see symbols instead of Cyrillic letters in message subject, but body show normally. I think that kmail2 don't look to 'Content-Type: text/plain; charset=KOI8-R' field when displaying subject, but it must look. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to import message from attach mbox to kmail folder. Actual Results: You will see " DOMAIN.RU: 15-DEC-2010" subject of message Expected Results: You must see: "Домен DOMAIN.RU: срок регистрации заканчивается 15-DEC-2010" in subject OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-23-generic Compiler: cc
