New crash information added by DrKonqi
akonadi_kabc_resource (0.1) on KDE Platform 4.5.80 (4.6 Beta1) using Qt 4.7.0
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
When I open the address book (based on a directory of
vcard files) the name of the vcard files appear instead of
the contact names. When I double click a contact, the
akonadi resource crashes (as does kaddressbook).

Hej, First please make sure you use KDE-PIM 4.6 on KDE 4.6, mixing versions does not work. Secondly remove the akonadi_kabc_resource (the compatibility resource) in favor of the native Akonadi resources. Vanilla system with both, KDE-PIM and KDE 4.6 with native Akonadi resources works fine here. Ciao, Tobias > First please make sure you use KDE-PIM 4.6 on KDE 4.6, mixing versions

That seemed to do the trick, sorry that I didn't know about that. Upgraded to kde-pim 4.6 and the adressbook works like a charm.
Hi - I'm having the same problem as above after upgrading to the 4.6 beta-2 on maverick. I don't seem to see a 4.6 version of kdepim available in the beta repository. Where can I find this? @Charles Figura: you have to add/enable the Kubuntu Experimental repository (see the kubuntu news page). @Jonathan - thank you. While kaddressbook now works, neither kontact nor kmail will start up now! Am I missing something? |
