Version: 3.7 (using KDE 4.5.4)
OS: Linux

Phonon VLC backend used in apps is reported as "VLC media player" stream in Kmix instead mentioning the application name (In this case: Minitunes) like it happens when I use the Phone VLC backend. Not sure, if this is a Kmix problem or rather a problem of the new Phonon VLC backend.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-7-generic-pae
Compiler: cc

Please ask your VLC maintainer on your distro to apply this patch to VLC package:
I'll ask the VLC guys to cherry pick it to their 1.1.x branch (it's already in master).

This has now been pushed to the 1.1.x branch in VLC and should be part of the 1.1.6 (I think) whenever it arrives. Apologies for not asking for it to be pushed in there before now (I wrote it in June!)
