Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2010-12-01 13:03:22 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

I just noticed that when I am writing a mail (i.e. having the new mail window opened) and I choose “Configure keyboard shortcuts” in the main window, either the main window and the new mail editor get dimmed and are thus unresponsive.
The Configure Keyboard shortcut dialog should only be modal to the main window.

Since this dialog is available in almost any KDE application I think this can occur in various places and is not only valid for KMail. (I think it‘s the same with Kopete‘s send file dialog)

Reproducible: Always

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
