Version:           4.5 (using KDE 4.5.80) 
OS:                Linux

ark does'nt recognize .tar.gz files but only .rar and .zip , no crash windows appear  

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
always  you try to unpack tar.gz files 

Actual Results:  
trying to unpack tar.gz files 

Expected Results:  
blank window 

nothing

Are you compiling Ark/KDE by hand? Do you have libarchive installed?

Ark was been installed automatically  upgrading KDE 4.5.3 from factory repo to  kde 4.6.beta1 , non hand compiling, yes i'we libarchive 2 in my pc

no i'we upgraded KDE 4.5.3 from opensuse factory repo to new KDE4.6.beta1 no
manual intervention and compiling
Yes i'we libarchive2 on my pc.

Did it Ark work before you updated to 4.6beta1?

Yes before , on KDE 4.5.3 it worked ..but after last upgrade in factory repo
, just few minute ago, ark has started to work again ...i think we can close
this bug reporting like resolved ........at least for me ....and hope for
ewerybody ..

Alright, I'm closing this report as it was probably something openSUSE-specific.
