Description Clemens Eisserer 2010-11-24 19:44:29 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

When renaming images (e.g. 2.png -> 3.png and 1.png -> 2.png) Dolphin still shows the old content of the image before it was renamed because the preview-image has been cached somewhere.

It seems like renaming the files doesn't trigger cache invalidation (see the screenshot attached)

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce the issue here: I did several renamings to previously existing files, but the preview was always correct. The caching is done in kdelibs but the timestamp is considered to be sure that no outdated preview is shown. Can you reproduce the issue to 100 % or does it occur only sometimes? If you can reproduce it to 100 %: Could you please attach 2 images where you did the tests and provide detailed instructions how to reproduce it (e.g. when did you hover the files etc)? (I tried the steps above but as said it works here)

Cannot reproduce with Dolphin 17.12.2. Please reopen if you still experience this bug & attach detailed instructions on how to reproduce in this case.
