Description richlv 2010-11-22 20:27:44 UTC
Version: 2.3.3 (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS: Linux

have an sshfs mount, open a directory in it in konsole. make the mount unavailable, press ctrl+shift+n to open a new tab in konsole.
this konsole instance fully freezes.
try to launch a new konsole instance - nothing happens. wait for a while, retry. still, nothing happens :)
unmount sshfs mount with 'umount -l' - observe how nothing still happens regarding konsole...

so not only the existing instance is fully frozen with all the tabs, it is also not possible to launch new ones.

the only way i found that could make konsole accessible again was to "echo 1" in corresponding "abort" file in /sys/fs/fuse/connections

it would be nice if konsole could timeout such mounts, but maybe there's also kernel involved etc. in any case, even if the hang "has to happen", it would be much better if only that tab would be affected, not all konsole instances on the system.

Reproducible: Always
