kontact (4.6 pre) on KDE Platform 4.5.80 (4.6 Beta1) using Qt 4.7.1
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I got a conflict dialog in kmail about conflicting messages - however the diff was only in time entry. Anyway I clicked on use left and then kontact crashed. After that every run of kontact shows calendar and click on mail tab ends up with a crash.
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Kontact crashed.

Run of kmail works well, just switch from calendar causes this error. If I run kontact --module korganizer and switch to kmail, it doesn't crash. openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 4, Qt 4.7.1, KDE 4.5.80 (4.6 Beta1) I forgot to mention that I didn't get a dialog in kmail about conflicting messages. kontact (4.6 beta2) on KDE Platform 4.5.86 (4.6 >= 20101210) "release 9" using Qt 4.7.1
I got a dialog about conflicting messages, there I selescted keep both, then the message was duplicated and this dialog kept appearing. There I always clicked keep right, but the dialog with exactly the same diff kept appearing, so I exited Kontact. When I then tried to start it again everytime KMail is started I get this crash. I tried synching the collection with akonadiconsole, moving all messages from my inbox to a backup folder (since it was a message in my inbox causing this dialog to appear), deleting kmail2rc (this seemed to work for one start, but now the error is back).
I really don't know what to do, this is a really big issue for me since I now can't read my e-mails anymore. I can put up with the number of messages not being shown in the tray icon or similar small issues, but this problem is almost forcing me to switch to kmail 1.

having deleted kmail2rc seems to have fixed the problem for now. However it now constantly shows me 7 unread messages in my inbox. How do I fix this issue? - What I was doing when the application crashed:
I tried to confirm another mail bug for which I needed Kontact/KMail closed. So I quit Kontact and waited a while. Then I restarted Kontact which was last open on the Notes page. Switching to the mail component causes the crash. I have no popup about conflicting messages though.

Addendum to the previous comment: now that the bug report window is closed, I could start KMail normally (before that it complained about Kontact still running).
