I know there are issues when putting widgets into other widgets but I consider the grouping/stacking/tabbing groups almost useless unless you can put them into a panel.
My use case would be: I have a fairly wide panel (you unfortunately can‘t drag it so wide it covers almost the complete screen, like a “drawer” that you can drag) that autohides on the left of my screen. There I put in a tab group and have various widgets that I frequently need put in. So I can shoot my mouse over to the left corner of the screen, have that panel displayed and look up blogs or do whatever.
