Pidgin does this really nicely. You have over the chat history (below the menu bar) the user name of the person(s) you are chatting with, his online status (green bulp, red bulp) and his status message. All three things right in your face. In Kopete you always have to look at the window title for the status “(Online)” and in Pidgin there is just the plain status icon without the protocol icon. So have here just the “do not enter” sign for busy, the clock for away etc. Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
