Created attachment 53402 [details] Fields to move Version: 1.5.0 (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux 1) Why does Digikam stores so many new fields when asked to store it's tags to metadata. For example why are exif metadata also stored in 'Xmp.exif.xxx'. The software name (Digikam) is also stored 4 times. 2) Would it be possible to change the 'Tags/Caption' interface. Indeed, it is not possible to easily change 'Places' and 'Subjects'. These fields can only be change with a template. We should also been able to change them directly (by putting them in the 'Description' tab. 3) Would it be possible to add the Xmp title field? To be clear, there has a been a great improvement concerning the metadata management, but maybe it could be even easier. I have tried other softwares like Geeqie, and none is efficient enough. Reproducible: Didn't try
