Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mathias Panzenböck 2010-11-10 05:51:14 UTC
Application: systemsettings (1.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.2 (KDE 4.5.2)
Qt Version: 4.7.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.35.6-48.fc14.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution: "Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I changed sometthing in the system settings under "Login Screen". For some reason the password dialog was opened in the background when I pressed apply and so I didn't see it (happens often!). I clicked back in order to leave the login screen settings, chose discard when I was asked what to do with the changes and entered the login screen settings again. Shortly after I clicked apply a second time I got a error message ("Unable to authenticate/execute the action: (code 6)") and then it crashed.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Which password dialog was it? KWallet or KAuth?
Comment 2 Mathias Panzenböck 2010-11-10 15:24:32 UTC
I was asked the root password (and not the wallet password) so I guess KAuth. It is a global setting under /etc/kdm that gets changed by this settings module.

Thanks for the update. It is indeed bug 242648.
