My Settings:
   1. As activity I have "Folder View" selected.
   2. I selected unsorted

Now I select any Icon of my desktop and press the right mouse klick to get the context menu. I do not any changes and klick "OK". And now...

Problem:
--> All icons are new sorted by name, type, date or size. <-- 

The same problem occurs when I create or change a new file with kate. In all cases, the old position was not retained.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1 selected "Folder View" for desktop
2 selected view -> unsorted
3 save settings
4 move your desktop icons in any position of your desktop  
5 right click with your mouse of any icon and select OK


Expected Results:  
All icons are new sorted!

All icons should be on the old position (my position) of the desktop!

If you right click with your mouse of any icon select settings and select OK!

Fixed with KDE version 4.5.3
