If on resizes the activity switcher in such a way that not all activities fit on it horizontally but there would be enough space to arrange them vertically it does not do so.

For example three activities are arranged as follows:

Instead of:

meep! it was only meant to be horizontal, originally. but I see how you managed to get at it from hte vertical thing... hrm, so I guess it needs to be made vertical-friendly now. damn.

...wait, 4.5? I thought you could only do that in trunk. huh.
well anyways, one of us will get it fixed before 4.6 is out :)

Either not fixed or there is a regression in 4.8. See screenshot.

There would be plenty of space to align the activities vertically.
