korganizer crashes either when started with kontact or standalone. I am unable to use my calendar at the moment.

I assume this has to do with recent tasks added. Those tasks have file attachments.
I am using opensuse 11.1.

Please install debug symbols:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

And get a valgrind report.

Then reopen.
