A simple search implies this problem did happen to some users[1][2][3][4]. However, I can't reproduce it with konsole-2.5.4 in FreeBSD-8.2-RELEASE. So maybe that is a problem of /bin/sh shipped in FreeBSD? Can you still reproduce this in newer version?
