screen space is one of the biggest limitations on maemo devices and currently several different windows in marble cover space.

i only ever use marble for local mapping on my n900 (no arctic exploration for me!) and so the world map takes up unneccesary space. furthermore, it is easy for a stray stroke of the screen to inadvertantly change the position to
another continent if it touches the world map, and its very frustrating to spend minutes finding your exact place once again.

please provide an easy way to disable the world map therefore!

Reproducible: Didn't try

You can disable the overview map in Marble 1.1.0 and later. Either choose "Hide" in the context menu of the overview map or unselect it in the "Infoboxes" menu of the context menu of the map. Both works on Maemo as well.
