For some unknown reason I have lost my feeds file (probably an update). After that, the feed list is empty and I get

The standard feed list is corrupted (invalid XML). A backup was created:
(myhomedir)/.kde/share/apps/akregator/data//feeds.opml-backup.1288421373

XML parsing error in line 1, column 1 of /media/marra/mara/.kde/share/apps/akregator/data//feeds.opml:
unexpected end of file

When I choose to create a new folder or add a new feed, Akregator crashes.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
