Description Shlomi Fish 2010-10-20 07:00:15 UTC
Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using Devel)
OS: Linux

KOrganizer loses all events / all events are lost after upgrading it in Mandriva Cooker to the latest version. It's possible I used an old version of it before and then downgraded (because KMail and the rest of the kdepim were unusable), but now all my events are gone. It should import them by default.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create events in old KOrganizer.

2. Upgrade.

Actual Results:
There are no events in KOrganizer.

Expected Results:
The Events should be imported.

I'm using KOrganizer on Mandriva Linux Cooker on x86-32.

But you can re-import the events? Your calendars are still fine just not shown?

How do I re-import my events? My calendars are now OK after I have downgraded. In any case, it should still not lose all the events upon an upgrade, and that's what this whole bug is about.

Please identify source and destination versions.

The bug report says svn trunk, is that correct? I don't know what "Mandriva Cooker to the latest version" means.

The source version was the old 4.5.x KOrganizer, and the destination one is the one from KDE 4.6.x beta.

Well, no longer, because KOrganizer was upgraded then.

> I don't know what "Mandriva
> Cooker to the latest version" means.

These are two parts of the sentence which you did not understand. What I mean is that I upgraded kdepim to the latest version of it that appeared in Mandriva Linux Cooker after upgrading Mandriva Linux Cooker. Hope you now understand better, but the previous sentence was also understandable.

The migrator was fixed before the 4.6. release.
