- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I requested a search of Inbox including subdirectories (mail on my IMAP server).  I got a dialog box for every folder.  As far as I can remember the dialog box said
"KMail needs to download all your messages in folder WHATEVER in order to search them.  This may take some time.  Continue/Cancel.

The system is frozen while the boxes are being generated.  On one occasion I had not deleted them all when another batch started.  That time power-off was the only way out.

This happens at intervals of a few minutes without any kde-pim applications running.

I have tried stopping and re-starting akonadi.

The problems continue even after a reboot.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
