Description Shlomi Fish 2010-10-19 13:54:30 UTC
Version: SVN (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I've entered my old password and the new password twice in the "Change ICQ Password" dialog, and pressed the OK button. Nothing happens and I need to press the Cancel button. I'm not getting any message (or sound) on the screen and nothing in the traces. If the passwords do not match, I'm getting a notice on the screen, so it cannot be it.

I should also note that if one enters a character beyond 8-chars in the new passwords, then these characters should not be silently discarded and Kopete should notify on it using a message box.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Kopete with the ICQ account active.

2. Configure Kopete -> Accounts -> ICQ Account -> Modify account -> Basic Setup -> Change Your Password.

3. What I described.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens and I need to dismiss the dialog using the Cancel button without changing my password.

Expected Results:
That my password will be changed.

I'm on Mandriva Cooker.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
