Version:           SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using Devel) 
OS:                OS X

Kontact: kdepim4-enterprise5 (tag: 20101008) from Macport on files.kolab.org
OSX: 10.6.4

When restarting, KMail the folder tree is not collapsed/expanded in the same manner as when it was previously shut down.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KMail
2. Configure some incoming accounts (I have 4 in my setup)
3. Completely expand the folder tree for these accounts
4. Close KMail

Actual Results:  
Upon restart the folder tree will not be completely expanded. Sometimes it is completely collapsed. Sometimes it is only partially collapsed.

Expected Results:  
The folder tree should be in the same state as when KMail was closed previously.

Same for me. I collapse the old email in the list from november and on every new start kmail reopens the november emails.
My kmail is Version 1.13.5.

Confirmed with kmail2 2.1.0 but it doesn't always happen, I use kmail inside kontact and usually kontact is automatically closed exiting from the KDE session

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
