Sometimes when I copy paste from konsole I get spurious spaces from the end of the text in the line until the edge of the screen.  This is very annoying.
eg if the line in console reads:
"Date: Tue, 19 Oct 2010 15:22:14 +1100" and I copy the whole line I get: "Date: Tue, 19 Oct 2010 15:22:14 +1100xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" where the x is a space.

This never happened under konsole in kde 3.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Run pine/alpine in a konsole window, copy something, paste it elsewhere and you get spurious space characters·

Actual Results:

Expected Results:  
Lines ending with spaces should be terminated with CR

This wouldn't be quite so annoying except for bug 178975

Re  #188528 - I tried this for an arbitrary console output and I can confirm slightly different behaviour for kde 4.6 (as I am on now) when compared with   #188528.

I see spurious spaces for pine but not for the history or vim.

I just installed re-alpine and played it around for a while. The problem does exist. But I still think it is a duplicate of bug #188528. 

After applying the patch from comment #94, the probelm is gone. Could you please try that patch and give some feedback?
