Description Ralf Jung 2010-10-17 13:43:16 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

I just recently upgraded from KDE 4.4 to 4.5 and immediately noticed the new colour scheme. While I overall like it, there is one issue hopping into my eyes permanently: The places dock in Dolphin (or, more generally, all lists with selectable items on grey background).
The selected item is highlighted with a bright blue background, and it has a white text. Since that is a low contrast, that makes it really hard to read. And the background colour of the hovered item is so similar to the "normal" grey background that it's hard to even notice, and I keep thinking that Dolphin froze as it does not highlight the hovered item.

Interesting enough, the "folders" tree view below uses black text for the selected item, which works. It suffers from the same hover issue though.

I will attach a screenshot showing how the described items look on my system. I reset the colour scheme to "Default". I hope this is the correct product for such kind of issues.

Reproducible: Always
