Created attachment 52564 [details] mockup of real basic kcalc mode Version: 2.7 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux The simple mode of kcalc is not simple enough for my taste, it is still confusing for people who just want to do basic calculations and takes up too much space on the screen for unneeded functions. It would be great if kcalc would have a really simple basic view, see attached mockup. In that mockup I kept the brackets but to be honest I don't think they are really necessary in that mode, better would be to use bigger buttons instead for the other functions. Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-7.slh.1-aptosid-686 Compiler: cc
