Description Bartosz Neuman 2010-10-16 12:22:38 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux

SAL ignores icon size set in system settings.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Set smaller or larger icon size then default.

Actual Results:
SAL stays the same.

Expected Results:
SAL icons change according to the settings.
Comment 1 ingo 2011-01-30 10:03:05 UTC
still not able to change icon size in 4.6
Comment 2 Aaron J. Seigo 2011-12-06 11:02:56 UTC
the sizes are controlled by two config values in the relevant appletsrc file: FavouritesIconSize and ResultsIconSize. as SAL is designed as a full screen launcher, the items in the Icons control panel were not deamed appropriate (setting them to make SAL work well results in distortions elsewhere that use those settings as well). what is missing is a GUI for these two settings.

patches are, as always, very welcome and the code is in kde-workspace/plasma/netbook/containments/sal/ :)

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
