Description Bernhard E. Reiter 2010-10-13 17:16:04 UTC
"Application" should not be used for the frontends and
the frontend names should be used by themselfs without further qualifier
to avoid confusion.

Package: kdepim-mobile
Version: 4:4.5~20101008.1183810-1maemo1.1182955

Start icons have "KDE Mail" while it should be just "Mail".
Descriptions shown in the application-manager also say an additional
"KDE" which they should not in the names, they also have "Application"
in the description.

 dpkg -s kdepim-mobile | grep Des
Description: Kontact Mobile Applications

Comment 2 Volker Krause 2010-10-22 15:00:47 UTC
Fixed for WinCE in revision 1187404, keeping the KDE prefix on Maemo5 to avoid confusion with the built in apps that happen to have the same names.
Comment 3 Bernhard E. Reiter 2010-10-22 15:03:16 UTC
Please do _not_ keep the "kde" prefix
as the distinction can easily be made by the icons.
(And the branding it "Kontact Mobile" and the mentioned frondends without "KDE".)

Marked as invalid now since the rename to Kontact Touch there might still be naming issues but those are not the ones this Bug refered to which are resolved in recent versions.
