Description Nicolas Gaudin 2010-10-10 09:30:45 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

I use Dolphin to add tags to my videos : I have to click one time on the "add tags" link at the right panel, it opens a window, then I have to click another time for each tag to add, finally I need to click on "ok" button.

My suggestion is to improve interface to have a faster “workflow” : use something which looks like a QComboBox which opens on click, or better with “No-click activation”. The QComboBox-like widget should show the “most often used tags”, added on click, and one entry “other tags”, this last entry opens the current window with the exhaustive list of tags. The user will need only one click by tag added, with “No-click activation” and for the “most often used” tags.

The “most often used tags” can accept various definition, my suggestions : the last tags added to others files (the best for my usage), by counting the number of files having the tag, etc.

Sorry for my english, I hope that my description is understandable.

Reproducible: Didn't try
