My "recently used" menu folder is always the same.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just log in and see, recently used does not remember recently used.

Actual Results:  
Fixed old list.

Expected Results:  
Recently used.

I think I saw a discussion for this bug somewhere but couldn't find it now.

i can't reproduce the issue here.

my box's specifications are,

Qt: 4.7.1
KDE Development Platform: 4.5.4 (KDE 4.5.4)
os:gentoo ~amd64

I have the same issue on OpenSUSE 11.3 (KDE 4.4.4). It worked initially, but has stopped at some point. This may have been when I saved my session (I have session management set to "Restore manually saved session"), it's hard to tell because this is not something you notice immediately.

i have been keeping an eye in my "recently used" these days and i haven't noticed this issue yet.
maybe you should try a newer version of kde.
