I would like to report the same problem. I have checked and both Thuderbird and Evoution clients work flawlessly with IMAP tags. Both standard and custom. However, Kmail is unable to set tags properly to the server so that the tag can be identified or synced with other clients. Furthermore, not even Kmail itself is able to identify through the server the tags set by another Kmail client or either. You can see a videoclip that shows clearly the problem in the following link. https://web.cimne.upc.edu/users/ubach/otros/kmail-kmail.ogv Please, solve this bug, because it is making unusable a very important feature of the IMAP protocol. By the way, I am using Kontact version 4.4.9 and yes, the error can be reproduced always. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding. Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2 If by "still valid for kmail2" you mean that this feature is still missing from kmail2 and is still wanted, then: yes. Especially now that Mozilla has announced they will be dialing back on development of Thunderbird, which in my opinion creates an even greater need of an alternative, properly maintained email client (such as kmail) which can interchange email taggings in a way that those taggings can be viewed and modified with other clients (i.e. IMAP tags). Merge with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283020 (dupe with more votes)? (In reply to comment #6) > Merge with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283020 (dupe with more > votes)? Makes sense, thansk! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 283020 *** |
