It would be cool if this was possible directly from within KSnapshot, without having to save to a temporary file first and then locate that file again in a file picker on ImageShack's (or whatever's) web interface.

The usecases should be obvious... Oftentimes the only reason one takes a screenshot is to quickly share it with other people over the internet, e.g. as part of a bug report or whitin an IRC discussion, etc.

You can already do this. Install kipi-plugins, then click the "Send To" menu after taking the snapshot.
