Bug reported here:

I use Kubuntu 9.04 beta on an AMD64. I open a text file in Kate. I try to change the font size of the text I want to edit in Kate. So I open the respective dialog, chang the font size and hit the “Apply” button. Now the first 30 or so lines do not change their font size. Only the height of the lines is updated. So if, for example, I raised the font size, the size of the characters stays the same but the gaps between lines gets larger. If I lowered the font size, the size of the characters stays the same and you do not see the lower parts of the characters anymore since these are hidden by the characters of the next line. However, all lines after the first 30 or so lines are correctly updated.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Has this been fixed? I vaguely remember something like this in the past, but have been changing text size recently with no such problems (kate 3.5.3).

imho that works with KDe 4.5 and above.
