Do you have lpr or lpr-cups binaries installed? Albert, I am not sure. How do I tell? I know that I use system-config-printer, which is a CUPS configuration tool, to set up the printer. FINALLY found an answer to this. On the Ubuntu system I'm using, (2.6.32-25-server #45-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 20:06:58 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux) There is not an lpr-cups, but the package "cups-bsd" enables the lpr command for the cups drivers. Problem solved. |
