Neither can I mark a message as read/unread nor can I do "mark all messages in this folder as read". Well I can, but it doesn't do anything. Having a message open for a few seconds will turn it to read, though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Select multiple emails.
Right click - select "mark messages as unread" or right click folder and select "mark all messages as read".

Actual Results:  
First all messages turn read, but then turn back to unread.

Expected Results:  
turn read, stay read... ;-)

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-25-generic

This applies to beta software from kubuntu-experimental...

I have to second that, it works for me (arch, kde4.6beta1), but i have to say it takes some time (10s) till messages are marked as read.

Hej,

since this bug is fixed I'll close it. We have a separate bug report (251369) for 'marking read' action taking long.
