Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS:                Linux

A window of the KResource Migration tool keeps popping up, with the message
"Trying to migrate Default Calendar", disappears after reporting timeout
and re-appears again after a couple of seconds, even after I close the KOrganizer

Reproducible: Always

Confirm with kde 4.6.3.

launching akonadi or kopete cause this popup appear.

Confirm with KDE 4.6.3 - 4.6.5 when launching Kopete or checking the "Akonadi Resources Configuration" in System Settings. I haven't tried Akonadi, I have always had the Akonadi service disabled, but it still tries to migrate the address book or calendar over and over again. This nagging dialog is starting to annoy me very much.

Jaak, I remember using the workaround given here – http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=94505 – some time ago, which worked for me.

Thanks. For reference to others, this workaround suggests adding:

[Migration]
Enabled=false

to ~/.kde4/share/config/kres-migratorrc. Unfortunately, nothing is said about the implications of this change, so as far as I'm concerned, it might have some destructive side-effects (e.g. when upgrading to a new version of KDE).

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
