smb.conf

Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS:                Linux

I tried to open some samba shares using dolphin. i installed the packages: samba, kdenetwork, kdenetwork-filesharing
to get the network sharing dialogue working.

After I allowed some simple network shares using dolphin, my shares were seen in the network but it was impossible to enter them using nautilus / dolphin.

But entering network shares of Gnome with Dolphin works fine.

Enter Network Shares:
---------------------
KDE -> Gnome = Possible
Gnome -> KDE = Impossible
KDE -> KDE = Impossible

Seems like its a bug in dolphin / samba.
If you need further details, please leave a comment.

It would be nice if you fix this problem, network shares are very important. thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a simple network share under KDE
2. Try to enter it with Nautilus / Dolphin

Actual Results:
The shared folder is displayed but it can't entered.

Expected Results:
Entering the folder should possible to read and copy files.

Simple Samba Shares are still not working in KDE 4.6, which means that this bug remains for 4.6.

Rechecked. This is fixed in for me in Dolphin 4.9.8.
