Description Mathias D 2010-09-22 18:59:30 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

If I try to logout, reboot or shutdown via k-menu it will just do nothing. I can go on with my work as when nothing was happend. I can try it as often as I wish, it will not reboot, logout or shutdown. I had that error allredy in privious versions of kde. In past I delete the .kde directory and everything was fine. But I dont wont to delete my hole config. Now I could isolate the problem to the ~/.kde/share/config folder. If I delete that dirctory and relogin, everything is fine. If I try to use another user on the same pc, it works fine too. So I think the problem is located somewhere in the .kde/share/config folder.
If I try to restart X or sth like sudo shutdown now it will go down immidiatly but thats not so good for kde I think.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to logout/reboot or shutdown via k-menu

Actual Results:
nothing. I can go on with work an when nothing was happend. If I try shutdown etc. again, is has not any effect.

Expected Results:
Shutdown normally.

If I delete ~/.kde/share/config shutdown etc. works fine again.
