Description Vadim Dyadkin 2010-09-21 22:59:21 UTC
Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

Since kde-4.5 has been released it shows a brightness meter on my sony vaio vpccw2s1r. But the problem is when the brightness meter disappears from the screen the brightness increases to the maximum level. The process seems like that: I press Fn+F5, the meter appears, the brightness goes down, the meter disappears, the brightness jump to the max. I guess this is only vaio problem because the brightness is governed by the third part module nvidia_bl-0.52. Thus, is it possible just to disable this brightness indicator somewhere in systemsettings or elsewhere?

Reproducible: Always

comp: sony vaio vpccw2s1r, gf 330m, the proprietary nvidia driver with additional brightness modules nvidia_bl-0.52.
