Description Rolf Eike Beer 2010-09-21 22:47:05 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I today upgraded my installation to the current unstable (kmail-mobile 4:4.5~20100917.1177596-1maemo3.1174921). The only file from my old configuration was my email identities. I configured my IMAP server and entered the outgoing server. Now I try to send an email and the following things happen (in order!):

-I get the message "the email was sent successfully"
-I get the message if I want to trust the SSL certificate of my SMTP server
-I see the connection attempt in the SMTP server log with a failure: the mail was rejected because no authentication was used.

I was never asked about the SMTP authentication settings so I thought it would try the same as the IMAP ones. Or ask me. :(

Reproducible: Always

Very similar to 251917 but I don't get the error message and I actually _have_ an SMTP transport configured (it's just not configured correctly).

The success message is now only shown after the mail has actually been sent, not after it has successfully been composed.

I can verify on Windows CE that this has been fixed.
