Description Miguel De Anda 2010-09-21 20:03:16 UTC
Version: 4.4 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: MS Windows

if lots of documents are open in the document list and some of them get modified in some way, kate crashes. this doesn't happened all the time, but quite frequently. kwrite seems to do a better job of handling it, but it's harder to verify since it only keeps 1 file open at a time. i believe it happens more often when multiple files are moved or removed and they are not the active document.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
open lots of files in kate, move a few them so they don't exist

Actual Results:
boom.

Expected Results:
file changed notification on focus, like it does in linux or how kwrite handles it

hopefully this can be addressed before next windows build of 4.5

Hm, this seems to work in the more recent releases 4.8.0 and 4.10.1. So I closing as worksforme, if this still is not fixed, please reopen.
